Radisson Blu Hotel Cologne celebrates its makeover

After the complete renovations of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Frankfurt, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cologne now also shines in new splendor. The options for meetings and events in the hotel have increased and the CCB was invited to celebrate the opening. Here, we give an impression of the new design.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Cologne celebrated the completion of its elaborate transformation with 300 customers, business partners and media representatives on 13 February. Amidst the imposing 15m high glass atrium, the Ellipse Restaurant, Bar & Lounge forms the focal point of the hotel in the newly designed lobby. In a relaxed and feel-good living room atmosphere and supported by the new “all-day dining” concept, the restaurant and bar now harmoniously merge. In addition to the re-design of the lobby, the foyer also serves as an optimal presentation area: Car manufacturers for example can showcase their new models in stylish and modern surroundings.

Enhanced options for meetings and events

As part of the redevelopment measures, all 393 rooms and suites received a new, urban look, which meets the demands of modern leisure and business travelers. In addition, the fitness and wellness area was renovated and equipped with new cardio equipment. The event area was extended to more than 1,000 square meters. The new meeting room "Bottega", with a floor space of 210 square meters, is multifunctional and can also be booked as a "private dining room".

"It has been extremely important to modernize and upgrade this hotel in such a crucial, strategic location. Not only for our fair guests and local partners, but also for the international audience.”, says Ralph Goetzmann, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cologne. The renovation works a part of a strategic focal point of the group: Currently, the Radisson Blu Schwarzer Bock Hotel in Wiesbaden is being redesigned. Renovation works at the Radisson Blu Hotels in Milan, Basel as well as in the 210-room hotel in Zürich-Rümlang will also commence soon.
