A location and catering from a single source — in future, KölnKongress will be responsible for the catering at its congress venue in addition to Cologne’s traditional banqueting hall, the Gürzenich. After the expiry of the lease contract for catering at the Tanzbrunnen and the Rheinterrassen, KölnKongress will take over this function from the previous operator, Rhein Connection, in a smooth transition process.

The Tanzbrunnen has been part of the KölnKongress portfolio since June 1, 1998. Rhein Connection took over the responsibility for catering at the Tanzbrunnen and the Rheinterrassen on May 1, 1999. Because this lease contract will soon expire, KölnKongress Gastronomie GmbH will take over the catering operations. “We’d like to thank the two Managing Directors of Rhein Connection, Andreas Feldgen and Michael Staunau, today for the many years of outstanding cooperation we’ve enjoyed, and above all for being such good partners,” said the Managing Director of KölnKongress, Bernhard Conin. “The positive image of the Tanzbrunnen complex extends far beyond the borders of Cologne. That would not have been possible without this venue’s professional and innovative catering.”

Starting on May 1, 2019, organizers of events at the Tanzbrunnen will be able to get everything they need from a single source — just as they can today for events at the Gürzenich. KölnKongress Gastronomie GmbH will be the contact partner for all catering services both indoors and outdoors.  The company’s positive experiences from the Gürzenich, including the good business figures, show that it is well prepared, together with its shareholder Koelnmesse, to continue developing the catering concept at the Tanzbrunnen and the Rheinterrassen.
